Summer A to Zoo

Do you have bored kids this summer? Better yet, are you bored with the same old trips to the same old places? Here's a fun way to spice up your summer fun! (And learn a little bit about beginning letter sounds at the same time).
Create a Summer A to Z activity list.

Throughout the summer have your kids brainstorm places you can go to fill up your letter chart.

You don't have to go in alphabetical order. In fact, our first Summer A to Z activity was a trip to the zoo.

Check out my book adventures section for some ideas of where to start. You may even find some books that are worth toting along on your adventure.
My boys are out with Grandma, Grandpa and their cousins at the zoo today!

I'll be sharing some of our A to Z activities right here at Ready.Set.Read! Come back and visit soon.

Thanks to my friend Dana who shared this idea with me. She created a St. Louis A to Z activity for her kids. I would direct you to her blog but she doesn't have one. Luckily, I get to "steal" all of her ideas and share them right here at Ready.Set.Read!
