Ready-Set-Read in 2014

Welcome to Ready-Set-Read 2014! I hope you had a wonderful holiday season. We are currently snowed in around here and I'm spending some time working on some fun content for the site in the upcoming months. I plan to spend this year sharing tips and tricks to make literacy learning fun for your family and classroom. There are some changes and updates to ready-set-read for the new year so I thought I'd let you know where you can find and follow these helpful tips online.

Ready-Set-Read in 2014

Mom's Library

I will not be hosting Mom's library this year. I still totally love the library and I plan to link up. I have so many upcoming projects, I had to remove a few things from my schedule. You can link up on any of these great blogs each week. I'll see you there!

Picture Book of the Day on Facebook

I'm continuing to work with a group of wonderful bloggers and literacy experts to share a favorite picture book each day on my facebook page. There are 16 bloggers who take turns sharing a picture book of the day suggestion. There is a ton of variety in the types of picture books shared. You can easily find these resources by liking my facebook page (http://facebook.com/read.set.read). Hover over the like button and click "get notifications" to make sure you get the daily updates on facebook. Here's a sample of the types of book suggestions you'll see every day in 2014!

Daily Book Activities on Instagram

I am going to try to share favorite books and simple activities via daily photos on instagram. I'm bookblogmomma on Instagram I'll be sharing a book activity each day Monday-Friday. On weekends, I'd love if you'd chime in with some of the great picture books that you've been reading. I love when readers share suggestions for great picture books. I find so many great books in that way!!  Follow the hashtag #dailybookactivity.

Not on Instagram? You can find my daily book activities on twitter as well. http://twitter.com/bookblogmomma

Reading with Children G+ Community

Google + is a great way to connect and engage in meaningful discussions on a given topic. I love the communities on G+. I started a community called "Reading with Children". My dream for the community is for it to become a place where parents can hop on and ask questions about literacy. There are lots of authors and experts who are active in this community. Feel free to join in and ask your questions. You'll get lots of helpful information from a variety of sources! I also have a few other G+ communities I love. Check some of these out by clicking on the link:

I also have some big goals for 2014 and hope to have exciting news to share with you soon. I'd love if you keep checking back here on the blog for updates!
